Is the best possible flush still called the "nut flush" if the board pairs?

Yes, the best possible FLUSH is still titled the nut flush, although those aren't the nuts anymore.

True, BUT......only if the other guy actually has a pocket pair

What about a board Kc Jc 4c Js 2d

You have AQc
Opponent has KJ

ie. he doesnt need a pocket pair for the full. You have the nut flush but you dont have the nuts (although neither does the opponent as the nuts would be JJ but as he has a J the nuts in his eyes would be KK, if u know what I mean :? )
