No-one has been able to point out the error in my logic.

(Btw I know the error, but it appears that no-one else does)

0.33333~ is the best available approximation to 1/3 which cannot be perfectly shown in decimal notation.

How do you get to this? This is a circular arguement.
You assume that there is no chance of losing (i.e. 0.999999... = 1) to prove that 0.999999... = 1!:mad:

If you assume that 0.999999... < 1...
