Just a few quick suggestions out of the ones I already posted.

Fantastic Contraption - Super awesome puzzle/physics/building game. You have to build something to get an object (which you can connect to contraption) to fully be inside a goal area. Many ways to complete each level and you can build crazy things (catapults ftw).

Totem Destroyer - There is a stack of stuff and you have to knock out pieces without the little totem at the top of the stack ever touching the ground. Easy, but fun.

Electric Box - Electrical engineering puzzle game (sort of). There is an on/off switch and you must connect the starting energy source to the goal using different items that interact with each other in dynamic ways.

Super Stacker/SS 2 - You have a set number of objects and you must stack them all up without anything falling off (for a certain amount of time). Harder levels become very hard to beat period, but the idea is actually to stack quickly more than accurately, with timed runs available once you have beat each level.

Battalion-Nemesis - Turn-based war strategy. The only game I really play on my DS is Advance Wars, and this is a nice flash alternative.

Yeti Sports 5 - I've lost about $150 gambling on this game. It is a maddeningly addictive skill game based on golf (sort of). You are a yeti and you whack a penguin with your club. The goal is to get as far with 5 shots as possible, with objects in your path that either help you or hurt you (there is even the possibility for what we have dubbed a "reversal" where you are flying backwards but find a way into the giraffe's mouth and shoot forward again). You have a slider for angle and force and the timing is very particular. Playing against someone else (two computers/tabs running two games shot for shot) is the way to go.
