Default Flop check raise with aaxx

This type of hand happens fairly often. Without a read, is it just a fold?

I have aaxx with say 100bb. Say there is a pot raise, I reraise, folded to the original raiser who calls. Flop comes lets say picture picture blank. Or let's say it's 88J It's checked to me, I lead out for about 2/3 or so and get repotted. Is this just about always trips in a vacuum?

If I'm in the villain's shoes, should I be leading out on the flop, or just check raise as well?

I try to reraise more than just aces, usually with position, but I notice most others at the levels I play will only reraise with AAxx and maybe something like tjqk double suited.

Thanks!
