Default $3 Speed Sit'n'Go at Party

I'd almost forgotten what it felt like to win a SNG. This one was only noteworthy because I made a Royal Flush. Other than two hands early on, both with one limper before me, where I raised to 300 and everyone folded, the only thing I did for 40 minutes was push or fold. I did it with mostly good cards (worst ones were K2suited in the SB with everyone folding and knowing the BB was a complete rock) and once with A5 (I didn't show a single hand until we were 4-way, so they all thought I was bonkers.)

Yeah, played and won my first $3 Speed SNG at party today. Got lucky on the last headsup hand with J6o against Q7suited with J6J on the flop. I handled it like you, push or fold.

Why must take this away from me?

I played a couple more of these last night to see if the tactics worked again. They didn't, but I did see another Royal Flush. Wasn't mine, though.

The Kill Phil strategy cannot work everytime. I'm not sure of the statistics, but the authors seem to believe it to be +EV.

Is it not a bit boring though? You don't get to play much poker and only ever have one decision to make.

There aren't too many decisions to be made in these things anyway. After twenty minutes the BB is like a sixth of most stacks anyway.
