Default Losing at nl

I keep losing at nl. I get a good hand, call the other guys bets, and end up being depleted. Help?

Calling is almost always wrong at no limit. The only time you call is when you are drawing and you have good odds or it's on the river and you're not sure. If you're stuck with the potential second best hand at the flop, you must raise to see where you are or just go ahead and fold it. Calling will chip away at your roll.

Does this apply to head-to-head, mutli-player, or both?

Both. I'm not that great at heads up nl, but calling can be dangerous b/c you're essentially just hoping he doesn't bet real hard on river unless you really think he's bluffing.
