Bling Go to truepoker.com and download that. It so far is my favorite out of any of the other poker sites. It has a 3d environment instead of the eagle eye view. you can see when someone is looking at there cards and also just has other small things that allow you to get a good read on players. Also the random number generator is very good. I just recently d/l party poker to see how it is and I totally agree with you, I played in 4 NL Tourny's and wasn't dealt a hand over K-8 offsuit throughout all of them. One big thing to note is that True Poker is not owned by an Indian Casino somewhere in vegas, but was just made by a bunch of computer wizards. And that is why I think True Poker is the best.

I would agree with the previous post saying that irregardless of whether or not you thought party poker was rigged you lost that hand because you called with your ego rather than your head

I have baited people by checking the stone cold nuts on the flop and then making an outragous bet if a big card comes on the turn...while that wasnt what this guy was doing he might have been

You had king queen...at the turn it was 597K

At the turn there were 12 hands that were already beating you

68
55
99
77
97
95
75
KK
KA
K5
K9
K7

In addition to those hands there are even more people that could have draws that would beat you...most dangerous being 10J which has brunsons belly buster straight draw AND...kills the Q as an out for you

Now think about it...with your king queen if the guy had any one of those hands you need to improve...and the only card that could come down where you would be a STRONG favor to win is another king...not very likley

also against a rainbow a LOT of people slowplay trips in NL (probally incorrectly)

Bottom line...while your KQ was a good hand at the turn it wasnt anywhere near good enough to call a bet that large...and for the dollar you had invested in the pot, it was certainly not worth it.

I wouldnt blame party poker

I started at True Poker several weeks ago playing 1/2 limit. Since I cashed out $50 and have since lost $90. I have not had any bad beats. I have not lost more than $4 in any pot I was in. I've just been getting crap. Even when I get KK or AA I lost every time. Why would a poker site not rig their game. No one is looking at the computer code to make sure it is fair. Another thing is that when you cash out you take money from the game. Its all chips until someone cashes out.

Poker sites that rig their games inevitably go out of business b/c people are not that stupid and can senese that htey are being cheated...just look at ProPoker.

In the long run, poker sites can make a lot more money by hosting a fair game. Party and Empire must make in the tens, perhaps hundreds of millions each year. The only sites that you should worry about are the small ones, where not much is known about them and their business model isn't built around their integrity.

Why should they rig their games? It's a money printing machine that works just fine! All they have to do is keep it running!

I am new to these boards but not texas holdem. I started playing in 1999 but have not played since my last trip to Vegas around a year ago. I took my lumps when I first started but eventually started playing decent enough to win some back. I basically write off what I lost to start out as a learning experience. I read all the books, etc. Then this poker boom started and I thought, "now I get to make some money". NOT SO FAST! It seems to be even worse. Two-outers repeatedly taking me down. I saw one guy on here complain about Party Poker. I know a friend that cusses that site to this day. He stated, "people will not fold and they ALWAYS make a hand".

Here is the story of the one hand that made me take a break from poker for a while. I was playing 8/16 limit (yes i know, limit is bad) at the Mirage. I had been doing well. This old lady was sitting out for a while and all of a sudden she posts in front of the big blind. That immediately worried me. I was on the cut-off with AA. Ace of clubs and Ace of spades. There was a middle position raiser, so I re-raised. I didn't want the BB or her to limp in with one bet. She called two bets and the raiser called. The flop comes 9-7-2, two hearts. I remember this hand like it was yesterday. She checks, the other guy bets, I raise. She calls, he folds. A three of spades falls on the turn. I am praying no heart falls. I bet she calls. King of diamonds on the river. I bet she calls. I turnover AA with confidence. She turns over K3 off-suited (3 of clubs and King of Spades - so I had her with any flush draw as well) and takes the pot. Please note all that she called with absolutely nothing. I tend to wear my emotions on my sleeve like Phil Hellmuth. The entire table just looked in shock. I calmly asked her to hurry up and die so the world would be better off.

I have played sparingly (just in local pick-ups) since.

You can't get people to fold. I always run up against people who get lucky. I figured out it may be best against these people to always see the flop and know when to get out.

Unbelievable your story. I am planning on going to the states in the summer. I am not sure yet, but if I'll go, I will go for sure to Vegas to play some poker. I hope nothing like that will happen to me!
