Not a particularly exciting or unique hand, but I think well played on my part. Slow played the slow player.

if he didn't hit his straight or if he decided not to re-raise you, you woulda won a small pot for a huge hand.

Not to mention, if a K came instead of the ten, and someone had QJ, they would have annihilated your two pair. But then again maybe the table was full people who always raise preflop with two face cards, I dunno.

If someone held two threes and the ten didn't come, you would have lost.

I probably would have bet the top two pair.

And the guy with the straight caught his 2 on the river so I wouldn't really say he slow played. I think you did a good job of slow playing on the turn, because that allowed him to catch his straight and call your all in.
But you got lucky on the turn.

Default So you're...

...saying i should have taken this down on the flop, Pocker? everyone limped and you are saying flopping top two pair warrants taking the pot down on the flop. The board is connected but whoever is drawing to the straight has 4 outs. no matter KQ, QJ, KJ. I'll take odds that I am way ahead on the flop and have no problem giving a free card to the gut shot. If the turn is a scare then I bet for information, to see if anyone has it, because it will be quite apparent.

If someone had 33, how does that justify me betting the flop? If he is slowplaying the set then I need a free card to make my hand. But I made the the second nut on the turn, so all that is moot.

And Hip what are you suggesting? I should have bet the turn with the second nut? No way anyone has AA there. If they do I pay them off and have no problem with that, because to play AA that soft means that I am at the right table. The point of slow playing is letting people make a hand. If they dont make their hand I still dont make diddly but I still drag the pot. If he calls the my river $2 bet I am still happy for dragging a pot. If he makes a hand with the free card I am golden, which is what occurred.

im not suggesting you should do anything different; im just saying that the reason you posted this is cause you won so much money, and if he had not caught his straight, it would have been a $3 win on a full house.

Default Ok...

...there iprobably is some truth to your accusation of vanity. But I thought it was a well executed slow play.
