Default "You get paid to make decisions, not win pots."

As a true example, I was down about 40 BBs for a good while today (with typical bad beats) before winning two successive pots--37.5 BB and 26 BB, respectively. Put me up for the day, winning two out of about 50-60 pots.

It's basic advice, but it's hard to learn to stick by. To say the least, low-limit poker is NOT fun.

or, thought of another way, at a 10 player table, if you call every hand pre-flop, you will win more pots than any other player in that time period - right up until the time you go broke

whenever i try that, it seems i earn the reputation of being tighter than a flea's ass stretched around a water barrel, and can't get any action when i do get cards.

I have to say, still very new but play the micro limits such as 0.05/.10 and so far I have just played abc poker like everybody said to do and it has worked well for me, people just call regardless and don't care about how you play.
