My favourite suck out was in a SnG very early on in my poker career.

I had AKs and put in a preflop raise and got one caller. Flop coms 988r. Caller pushes all in and I (foolishly as I appreciate now) call. Caller flips over poket 9s for the flopped boat. However, turn and river were both 8s so I hit the 990:1 shot and took the pot with quad 8s and my A.

My opponent was.....a little upset.

It also seems to enforce the view that as players get better they start to be the victim of the bad beat more often. I would certainly not make that call now. It is a good story though

i realized that there's no place for cute little bears in the hard poker biz.

It must be Karma. I played in their 15K freeroll today and came in 9th for 675$. Came back from a really low stack, made some good plays, I am very satisfied. Hell, I didn't even swear when at the final table A2 beat my AJ when he flopped trips and we were AI preflop. Pretty tired now...off to bed, I am sure I will have a good sleep.

/edit: If anyone is interested, I have recorded it since it was down to 15 players, can upload it if anyone wants to watch it.
