One type of smug player that drives me mad is the type that always shows his uncontested hands.

For example, board is 5,A,7 and everyone checks. Douchebag bets the minimum, everyone folds, and he takes down the blinds.

Then, he shows his 2,8o as if he is saying "HA! TAKE THAT, YOU STUPID FISH! YOU DON'T WANT TO MESS WITH THIS CHILLI!"

or even funnier, when he takes down the pot on the river and the boards reads Jd Jc Td 9d Kc and he bets minimum and confidently show Ks 3c or something...

You either show hands when you hold a friggin' monster or a complete bluff, nothing in between....

What about when you bluff and you get away with it and if you do it a couple of times in a row people think you just do it all the time, especially when you just join a table. Then you wait for a winning hand and everyone calls you down or raises you and you get a bigger profit through people thinking your bluffing

Can that not work?

Sometimes when the opp is thinking too long (especially in Casinos) I say "I'll show if you fold". So far it worked for me if used sparingly with bluffs.
