Axis of Evil: What is more disturbing that the eerie feeling that online poker is "rigged" is the possibility that the board cards may be different depending on how long players may take to act. Is the RNG always at work or are hands predetermined at the start of the deal like in B&M casino games? You might have made a hand if you waited a little longer or acted more quickly. Wouldn't that blow your minds?
What difference does it make?
We're talking billionths of a second here (between RNG changes) -- see my previous post as to RNGs being "pseudorandom" http://www.pokertips.org/forums/show...t=34111&page=4

Are you gonna kick yourself for not carefully timing your move three billionths of a second later so that you'd hit? How would you know?

And if you can't know, then that's "random" for all practical purposes, isn't it?

Partly becuase it's good mental exercise to use logic versus illogic, and sharpens our game accordingly.

Mostly for the same reason we watch the 3 Stooges or the State Of The Union address --- becuase the idiocy is entertaining.

I think you took Axe's post a little bit too seriously.

I find his idea a lot more interesting than the rigged thing too, since the rigged debate is soooo luseless and so 5 years ago. You can bet Ill try to synchronize my decisions with the RNG on my next session.
