Default Sites where the max buyin is 200bb

Eg Absolute and (apparently) Tribeca network.

I'm curious about what others do here - do you always buy in for the max whatever level your bankroll allows, even if it means playing at a lower blind level than you would at other sites?

For example, say you have a bankroll of $1000 and are going by the standard 20 buyin rule, would you buy in for $50 (the maximum) at a .10/.25 table, or would you buy in for $50 (half the maximum) at a .25/.50 table?

Just do whatever feels right for you.
On tribeca you can indeed buyin for 200BB up to 50NL, after its 100BB.
I would always buy in for the max when I was playing there because I feel its was +EV to do so.
If a fish doubles up, you dont need to double up too to bust him. Im always trying to cover the table if possible.

Id have to say, it depends. If there are some solid LAGs with big stacks, and fish with only 50 BB stacks, id probably have to tone it down just because the high variance of playing bigstacked against LAG players. This mindset is helped by something like PT. That way, you can tell who is what type of player and use their styles & stack sizes to decide how much to buy in for, or whether to even play at that table.

I play at Doyle's with a 25 BI roll and buy in for 200 BBs.
