1. Thank you for not putting this in strategy (like Shads said - very good etiquette).

2. You got really unlucky, and there's nothing you can do about it except sigh and move on to the next game. You want to put your money in as a 95% favourite, even though sometimes you don't win.

Unless you have flopped a royal flush or a smart end of a straight flushing you'll theres always a chance you'll get drawed out on (until he reveals his hand).

Im surprised no one has answered the OP question. Which was to the tune or, should he bet, or check raise the flop. I prefer bet. Unless you are sure someone will bet. On a 2 suited flop i cant stand giviing people free cards to a flush.

Check raise, while not too bad a play a check raise all in is too agressive unless ur sure you will get a call. You didnt do too bad, and no, you cannot avoid the bad beat.

I ran into a similar example later in the day where my A5s in SB on AAx flop ran into AQo. I guess the moral is that laying these down to big action is a good idea.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Hopefully I can learn from it.

Sorry if I posted in the wrong forum. I'll try not to do that in the future.

Great poker players play their strong hands very carefully.

Watch Jennifer Tilly for instance:

Nothing you can do about that. The guys a donkey! They get lucky, and it's a shame because you know he's going to bust a couple hands later.

I'd be worried about getting beat with a better kicker rather than by that retarded backdoor flush. How the fuck did he win this hand? Seen it happen in live games where I just want to slap the guy who called with suited rags with only one of his suit on the flop. Ofcourse he makes the flush.

If you did have reads on him, just wait for a nice pair and allin him preflop, he'll probably call.
