I've seen players sitting with about 12-13 max buyins on a few occasions at th casino at 2/5 PLH. The most i've ever been sitting with is about 5.5 max buyins.

Online, I can't recall ever sitting with more than 5 buyins at a cash table with reasonable stakes (I think I was sitting with 900 once at 1/2NL and i've had about 5-10 buyins plenty of times at 1c/2c NL but that hardly counts)

In a MTT, i've had 1600x the starting stack before... Midnight Madness ftw ;)

LOL ok that's not really relevant. I'm pretty sure I've had close to 10000x the starting stack before in an MTT (when I won the 11r/a). Even not when dealing with rebuys, you can get a lot of chips w/o actually winning a lot (or any) money.

I honestly have no clue for a NLHE cash game stack though. But I wouldn't think more than 5ish buyins at any level.
