Ouch, I would have punched both of them (well maybe just the slowroller if I was feeling nice) in the face!

Villain played hand correctly; TWLLM puts lots of money in dead on the river.

I just had my first four figure losing day at the casino. Seriously not cool.

To start off with, I buy-in for 350 at 2.5/5 at a 200min 500max NL table.

I lose a few small pots and top up for 100, so i'm in for 450 with a stack of about 400. I lose a few more pots, get rivered in one and somehow end up in for $650 without getting stacked, just losing pots and topping up my buy-in.

I then proceed to lose my stack with 33 on a 235 rainbow flop with a stack of about 380-400. Villain bets, I raise to about 50, villain calls. Turn is an 8. Villain checks, I bet 80, villain minraises, I feel sick, tank for a little while and shove for 1xx more, villain calls. I'm pretty sure his range here is 22, 55, 46, A4 but he could also be misplaying two pair I guess, since he's a live player who is fairly unknown. In any case, he tables 55 for the set over set, I miss my 1-outer and have about $75 behind (I covered him).

Next hand I pick up JJ, raise 3BB with 3 callers. QT3 flop with 2 diamonds, four checks. 5d turn, villain bets, I ship it in, villain calls and tables Ad4x for a gutshot, overcard and flush draw. He hits an ace to finish me off.

I rebuy for $350 more to be in for $1k. This is the first time i've been in for 1k on the table in a cash game.

I flop a full house with QQ and although I don't get paid, it's good for a couple hundred on the preflop action. I win some small pots and suddenly I have 800 infront of me and i'm only stuck 200. I consider walking, but decide that it's early and I should stick around for a bit and see what happens.

I bleed off 100 or so making a calldown with ace high and being card dead (I checked the turn to induce a river bluff with AJ, he had A5, villain bets when he is last to act when he hits a five on the river for a bottom pair)

Then this hand comes up.

Someone raises 4BB ($20), 2 calls, I call with 5h 6h, another two callers behind me. 100 in the pot. Flop is 643 rainbow. I check in MP, villains all check including the preflop raiser. Turn is 6c, putting two clubs on the board. Checked to me, I lead for 50 (hoping PFR villain has a strangely played overpair or something). Villains all fold except UTG who raises 125 to 175 total. I have about 650 behind, Villain covers. Villain is the best player in the table. I tank, ask him if he beats A6, he seems confident, I tell him i'm better than A6, he still appears unfazed, I ask if he has 33, 44 or 66 or if he's semi-bluffing some sort of combo draw, similar reactions except something weird when I ask if he beats 33. I decide he has 33 or 44 and throw it away face-up, to the amazement of the table. I'm 100% sure he's going to bet at least 400 on the river if I call and the river blanks, but i'm almost certainly drawing to 7 outs (6, three fives and three threes or fours, whichever he doesnt have) and I won't get paid if I hit three of my seven outs.

In any case, I fold, the table stares in amazement and villain looks stunned, says he had 33.

So i'm down 400 or so but with 600 on the table.

I bleed another 200 or so being card-dead and set mining with no success.

I make a failed check/raise bluff attempt on an AQx4 turn, villain 3bets all-in and I have to fold, 150 more down the drain. Villain shows Q2, he was good (and he's a great player, he made a great read on me)

I win a pot for about 150 with TPTK and with about 350-400 on the table, this hand comes up.

I hold AQ, several preflop limpers, i'm out of position.

Flop A63 with two diamonds.

I lead 15, a few folds, villain raises 25 to 40, I reraise 50 to 90. This particular villain would 4bet AK+ so to me, his range is AQ AJ AT or a draw.

I check in the dark. WTF! Horrible! Yes, it was a mistake. It was an instinctive move, but I just KNOW he's going to put me on the diamond draw and bet his ace or draw regardless, he can't resist himself with 200+ in the pot even though I was the flop aggressor. I know i'm bet/calling an all-in on the turn, so I decide to give myself the fold equity instead.

Turn is an offsuit 2. I check dark, Villain bets 125 into a pot of just over 210. I have 3xx behind and villain covers so I decide to move in for value and fold equity on draws. Pure spew by online standards, but he has AJ or a flush draw WAY too often here.

Villain tanks then says... and I quote..

Oh well, I've got the nuts and redraw to more nuts, so I guess I have to call.

Villain turns over 4d 5d, the ONLY hand in his range that beats me.

FFS SLOWROLLED TWO DAYS IN A ROW

So yeah. I ended up down $999, got set over setted, folded a set with open ended straight draw against a full house to save myself about $400 in Sklansky Dollars, failed to get properly paid off on any big hand and then put about $300 into a $200 pot when I was drawing dead (although in fantastic shape against his range). I got caught in a squeeze for $100 and bluffed off about $150. I made bad calldowns for another $100 or so.

I guess it still counts as my first four figure losing session at the casino since it cost me more than $1 to get there and back.

Awesome.

I've decided i'm taking a break from live poker before Melbourne Championships, get my head straight and start playing some tournament poker online, banish the weak-tight cash game player within for good.

Cash games, LOL

I'm a tournament player, what was I thinking ;)

Not really, but it's the first time i've been down 1k in about 25 live casino sessions so far over the last 2-3 months.

Yes, i'd rather post them here than start my own thread.

The main thing is I got slowrolled for a buy-in for the second day in a row!
