Default stars cashout

I cashed out at stars before, and had it sent to my local grocery store. But now the only option I saw was for a Check.

what happened?

Did your local grocery store get a bad beat and stop the service because Stars is rigged? Did Lee Jones make a bad joke involving the store's name? Was it visited by the FBI, or, alternatively, was it located on the internets that ran through Kentucky?

Are you in the US? If so it's probably related to the Moneygram thing. Stars had to cancel that a while ago because processors are terrified of dealing with poker monies.

I assume all moneybookers/neteller like options are off limits?

Do you have a close friend or relative in another country who you can transfer to, have them cash out and then have them wire you the money?

Did you know at Bodog its 40 business days from the initial request until the check is actually mailed to you? 2 weeks is nothing in the post-IGA poker economy.

No. Glad I'm under that then! Why is it impossible to cash? Why a 5k threshold? Think 2k will be problematic?
