Default Best site for lower stakes SNGs?

After a while of playing, I came to realize I am just not very good at ring games, and went bust-o on FT. About a week ago I made another deposit, played strictly SNG's/smaller tourneys and have since tripled that deposit, so it looks like I'll be sticking with that

So right now I'm on FT, and I like it, but I'm wondering if it's necessarily the best site for $5-10 SNG's/MTT's. Also, switching would give me a sign up bonus so that would be nice. I'm looking to put in ~$300 somewhere. Note that I'm a college student and work, and only 2-tabe, so I only play maybe 4-5 games a night.

I'm leaning towards Pacific, because the competition is supposed to be soft, the bonus is good and the bad rake wouldn't be an issue for me. But I'd really appreciate suggestions before I plunk down the money. I searched but most of the relevant posts are outdated, and we all know how poker rooms can change over time. Also, I'm a US player so they'd need to take deposits via echecks, and be able to cashout without too much of a hassle.

So, any sites I should check out, or should I just stick with FT?

For availability/reliability I'd say FT if you have rakeback, PS if you don't. Pacific is probably fine too since you don't play volume, and apparently have rakeback, but I can't comment on Euro sites except for in the most general terms.

Pacific has been closed to Americans for some time-unless they just reopened.

Since you're only playing two tables one of the merge gaming network rooms is where you want to play. Their SNGs are incredibly soft.

Down side: bonuses and rakeback vary with the room; one has only one month to clear ones first time deposit bonus; one only gets rakeback or deposit bonuses not both (rakeback is 30%); no point store; very marginal loyalty rewards if you don't have rakeback; they're a medium size network making it hard to multitable there; tracking software does not work there; sharkscope does and is allowed; their hand histories are aweful being both intrucive when opened during a game and hard to read.

Upside: extremely soft sngs; comp points can be converted to TEC; weekly 10K freerolls; a monthly 50K freeroll; one can get 30% rakeback; merge is growing rather than shrinking and is getting a lot of fishy non-Americans as first time players; withdrawals are fast; support seems good (I had one bad experience with them so am a little biased against them); they accept Americans from all 50 states; their checks are western union and don't have a poker rooms name on them. Their software is really good with resizable tables and the option to open windows in a four table grid.

Whoops, guess I didn't notice Pacific was closed to Americans. Kind of an important detail

Anyway, thanks for the replies. Unfortunately when I signed up to FT so I don't have rakeback. If you get rakeback, does that include tourney fees? If it doesn't, that's not really an issue for me.

Snaggle, Merge network sounds interesting, but which room(s) were you playing at? Also did your bad experience have to do with withdrawing money?

Email full tilt about getting rakeback.

Hello, I started out playing poker on Full Tilt before I became a serious player. Currently I'm playing 100NL on another site because I'm able to recieve rakeback. I brought in a "MGR" of over $3,000 in December. I would really like to start playing on Full Tilt again but I'm afraid I can't without rakeback. I've signed up on rakebackpros and I am willing to wait as long as it takes to get rakeback.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

-Scott

rakeback normally includes tourney fees. The withdraws at the room I've at are fast, forgot to mention that it costs $15 to withdraw by check. Not all rooms have deposit bonuses or rakeback. Carbon poker does, but you'll have to find an affiliate for yourself...I don't have rakeback My problem with them had to do with wanting to loan someone money via player transfer. One of their support personel accused me of not being me, even though the email I sent them was done from my account while logued in and if someone else I could have just transferred the funds without asking them about it. PS they also don't steal ones funds for inactivity.

Yes stars has no literal rake back. However the FPP can be considered a kind of rakeback - but it is only competative if you play a large volume and get to gold or above.
