Weird play by me in a home game. What would the ruling have been in a casino?
This would have never happened in a casino I guess but this happened in a home game with me as dealer.
Any thoughts as to a casino, tourney or SNG ruling?
9 Player Home game..top 3 spots pay. 3 players left so i'm in the $$ no matter what...I'm the chip leader. I'm the dealer and because it's a home game I'm actually dealing the cards.
Sorry no actual chip counts but I have both players covered easily
5000 in stating chips, blinds 800-1600 no ante. i've got K-2 offsuit
I'm first to act and go for the steal and raise to 4000
small blind folds and the big blind (second in chips) calls...
Flop is 10-8-2 all diamonds... BB checks and I go all in with bottom pair...BB calls and shows 2 diamonds, so he flopped the flush.
I say, "I can't win" and throw my cards face down a bit in front of me but not in the muck. Then I say.."ok I can win, do you want me to deal?" and for laughs deal out the hand...I get runner runner 2 K for what would have been a winning full house.
I felt I had conceded the hand and just gave the big blind my chips, no arguments.
It should be noted this this was at my home. It's a regular, every other week game that has been running for over 5 years. We are all friends. Relatively small stakes, $50 buy in.
Any comments? What would have happened in a brick and mortor site?

your cards are live unless you clearly indicate your intention to fold - which you can't do in this instance - or you muck your hand. if your cards don't touch the muck, you can retrieve them.
you win.

If your cards were at all close to the muck, though, a floor boss would probably declare your hand dead since there was no way to be totally sure those were your cards. I don't know though; I'm bad at knowing all of these nitty rules and there seems to be a fair amount of variation wrt interpretation of the rules ime.

This. Your situation would be ruled differently by different casinos I've played in. So you need a standard home rule for what constitutes a fold.

+1 and this is why our home game rule is cards get flipped face up when everyone left is all in.

a hand is either mucked or it isn't. if it isn't, it's live.
if the floor doesn't know this, play somewhere where he does.

What KC says
Also when all in NEVER MUCK this way you avoid these situations.
I have never mucked a winning hand in probably well over a thousand hours of live poker. I see other clowns do it all the time.
When you're all in, regardless of cash or mtt, table your hand or at least double check before you muck as a habit. Who cares if they see your cards. Table your hand and you will never lose a pot you should have won.
Amusing story the biggest cash pot i've ever won live ~1.7k or so, someone else mucked the winning hand on the flop when i flopped a set after a five way all in preflop confrontation. He made a runner runner gutshot. He cried, literally tears in his eyes. His own fault for never tabling his hand despite all of us being all in preflop, then mucking after misreading the board and thinking he was drawing dead.
In conclusion, i'm 1.7k richer and that guy is a dumbass.
You are also a dumbass for not realising you were drawing dead and although if your cards didnt touch the muck they're live; I might easily rule in the other guy's favour here if your cards were facedown with forward momentum towards the muck/dealer even if they were retrievable to teach you a lesson for being a dumbass.
