For as much PLO as you have played it seems odd that you arent used to the variance yet.

Every I time I play PLO I expect to win or lose 10-20 Buyins. Its standard.

For example these are all 1/2 PLO sessions I played this year. I had both 40 buy in + up and downswings over just a few thousand hands.

You are right about the EV graph basically being useless and its not just because of 4bet pots. Also fairly often both players will be commited after a flop raise and the equities shift massivly when the last 1/2 of stack goes in on the turn.

For PLO I think using equities at each street and the % of money that went in at each street would give a better indication of EV then just using the equities on the street where the players were "all in".

Of course the problem would be this won't show the times you ran good because your opponent had to fold a bricked draw at some point.

The bottom line is the EV graph is basically meaningless.
