Default Poker Tools- Information Overload

Hi, I have never played online poker. I am checking out all these poker tools but something is not clear to me- what do you actually look at and consult during the game? Just one tool or many?

If, for example, you were running a calculator like Holdem Indicator, with the stats displayed on the tables, and you were also running tracking software like Holdem Manager, would you display those stats on the tables during play too?

To my awareness, people usually only use one HUD while they are playing. I use PokerTracker which has always suited my needs great so I can't really speak to other tracking programs. Unfortunately, these programs have become a pretty crucial part of being able to succeed playing online poker. It would be better for the game overall if they didn't exist IMO, but since they do exist, you really can't pass up on the value of using one.
