i'd probably muck. he didnt isolate when the short stack shoved indicating that he doesnt care if you come along. then he shoved over your iso. this really looks like QQ+ to me, leaning heavily towards AA.

This is very weird. Not only do you call then raise but villain raises, calls then shoves! If he hasn't been doing anything unusual so far he has now. I know you usually have an aggressive image but he can't be thinking he has any fold equity - I can't quite figure out the size of the pot from the hand but you're getting more than 3:1 on the call - so he's shoving for value.

If you want to put him on QQ+ / AK then you have about 35% equity and you have to call.

I think your raise to $55 pretty much pot commits you. I'd imagine you have your usual insane maniac image Kwan?

His range is QQ+AK+ maybe TT if you've been playing like a complete luny tune.

His line definitly looks like KK/AA. The problem is your line definitly does not, smooth calling pre from a hyperagg player in early position with AA/kk? With AK he knows he's atleast 45-55 and quite possible dominating you. Easy call, I would have advised it anyway even if you didn't represent 2nd tier hand. 3-1 is awfully good odds.

Key question, why are you calling with JJ pre in early position?

After a limper and a raiser you should have three bet pf. Your raise is a little questionable but you have to get it in now.

flatting and 3betting preflop are pretty close actually.

I like this, unfortunately gotta call now.

I don't exactly remember the reason I flatted JJ pre-flop. I hadn't seen cuse raise the limper beforehand that early so I assumed that he had a higher tier sort of hand.

I was sincerely surprised that a lot of people thought that cuse had AA/KK in this spot. He has two deepstacks behind him and he only elects to flat call AA and KK? I just wasn't buying it. So, he most ilkely had an AK/AQ type of hand or a mid PP.

So I went to isolate with JJ.

I ended up calling because I thought I had underrepresented my JJ enough to induce a shove with maybe AK/AQ or a lower PP.

I was just a bit confused on whether or not I should have A) Isolated and B) called the shove.

TY for the responses.
