Default My first big win

Made the final table before for a satellite that paid out 1st and 2nd but got nothing. But this is my first "big" money win! Not bad I guess for a $3 investment. Was a coinflip away from getting more as well.

Post the final hand, I love to read the coin flips. Were you the pair or the two over cards?

Blinds were huge and I was one away from the blinds. Still I think it was a mistake (obviously), I had enough to get through it and there was another guy pretty low. When the blinds are big you can come back easily with a win or 2.

My stats for the tournament.

320 hands played and saw flop:
- 6 times out of 43 while in small blind (13%)
- 15 times out of 39 while in big blind (38%)
- 26 times out of 238 in other positions (10%)
- a total of 47 times out of 320 (14%)

Pots won at showdown - 16 out of 19 (84%)
Pots won without showdown - 26

wow by my math you only lost/folded 5 hands that you saw the flop with and 3 were lost at the show down so you only folded twice after the flop....how were you short stacked?

No that isn't right. The 26 that I won without showdown were mostly blind steals not ones I saw the flop with.

I just wasn't agressive enough late I think. I was 2nd in chips when we hit the final table and I just kinda watched people self destruct. You can make tons of money by folding.

I got aces twice at the final table and only took down the blinds.

Yes I agree, if you are showing down big hands early you can try to steal with 24o and get away with it a few times. I would rather have a big cards but you have to have a good read on your opp.
