Default Odds Question....QJs underrated??

I got my interested peaked one afternoon when I noticed the a QJs versues TT was a 47/53. Remembering my odds, I found that number high since AK vs TT is 46/54. I thought is was just a typo, however running through the hand simulator, a suited QJ is often more powerful than AK versus a pocket pair heads up!

In fact, for smaller pocket pairs, QJs is AHEAD of pocket pairs, where AK is under!

So is the math wrong somewhere, or should QJs be considered more ofter in heads up play?

Sure, qj is ahead of ak against a lower pp because it has a better chance of hitting the straight...though the chance of hitting that straight (along with qj's advantage over ak) is very small. That said, I'd still take AK unsuited over QJ suited for a pre-flop all-in anyday. AK is only dominated by KK and AA going into it while QJ suited can be pretty screwed by a lot of different hands.

It would maybe seem strange at first, but against pocket 10's, qjs is quite a bit better than ako. Here's the thinking. First, you only need 3 to make a flush as opposed to 4. Second, you have more straights you can make 8-q, 9-k, 10-a whereas ak can only make 10-a. Finally, you've eliminated a few of HIS straight cards. Of course, ak are two of his straight cards too, but only from one of the straights that he can make. With qjs you have taken two of his outs for every straight he can make except for 6-10 and 7-j (where you take one of his outs). Against a pocket pair it doesn't matter how high your overcards are as long as you got two of them. 10's don't care if you win with a pair of jacks or a pair of aces, cause it still loses.

Anyone willing to risking their chips all-in with QJs?
