Default Poker terms in German

Ich verstehe nur ein bisschen Deutsch, also ich schriebe auf englisch:

Can one of you give us a primer in German poker terminology? I'm very curious how you say things like "spades" or "flush" (etymology), let alone "bad beat" or "pocket pair".

Default terms = "Bezeichnungen"?

I looked it up on Google language tools and it said "Bezeichnung". Terms means words, phrases, vocabulary. Terminology is a more formal way of saying it.

But I found this page: http://www.poker-spiel.com , and it looks like much of the basic terminology in German is adopted from English, at least for the different hands: "Flush", "Straight", "Full House", etc. I was hoping for something more interesting like "volles Haus". :-)

OK, sorry for the English interruption.... Believe me, your English is 100 times better than my German.

Poker Terms heißt Poker Begriffe oder Poker Bezeichnung wie schon MicroShark schrieb. Du bist nicht allein mit Deinem Deutsch. Wenn Du Fragen hast, dann schreib einfach!

If you want to know the words and how you say them in german, then go on this site http://dict.leo.org. Type in a word in English and it will translate into German. You'll also will find a little button with a P on it on the right side which will say the word in German!

Thanks, that's a great page!

However, I'm not sure about using it for poker terminology -- for example, check out the equivalents for flush. None of them really seems right, but i'm especially scared of saying something like, "Ich habe eine Toilettenspülung gemacht!" when I hit my flush! :-P

(Note to non-English speakers: the word "flush" in English is what you do to a toilet, in addition to being the poker term for five cards of the same suit. In fact, "suit" is a strange word to describe the shapes on the cards! English is a WEIRD language....)
