Default Didn't know chip color

Playing in a $125 buy-in MTT with 89 entrants, early round. $25 & $50 blinds. Want to bet $100 (can't remember the cards, but that's not important), but accidentally throw a black ($1000) chip on the table. Dealer announces, "Raise to $1000." A guy at the end of the table sizes me up and calls. Again, I can't recall the hand, but it wasn't nearly that good. I don't flinch - shove the rest of my chips (about $3500) into the center of the table. He looks me over for a good thirty seconds and folds.

I thought my heart was going to beat out of my chest, I was so nervous. Two lessons learned that day - know the value of your chips and a good bet can sometimes be better than good cards.

Oh, one more lesson - don't wear sunglasses so dark so that you can't distinguish between purple chips and black chips!!!
