Default Won my first SnG Tournament!

I was undecided as to what to play as my first real money poker table. I decided to for the $5+1 SnG table at PartyPoker.

In about an hour, I beat 9 other people in NL Texas HoldEm.

Surprisingly enough, the best hand I got was AK, got it once put down a rather low bet and everyone folded. The actual winnings were mostly by doing semi-bluffs (everyone was playing surpisingly tight for such a low stakes game).

Still, first ever real money game and I win , good start, even though it was only $25.

Played a regular NL table for about an hour, started at $18 (which was my profit margin after the tourny I won), got it down to about 7, then back up to 45 then made a bet that would get me back to 18 if i lost (which I did, trip vs. 2 pair) and left the table, so didn't lose much.

I'm actually surprised at the number of bluffs I am able to get away with, not too many maniacs so far for me, even when playing 50c/25c NL blinds.

Got myself into the $1 new player lucky tourny that starts in a couple of hours, so far 189 entries, hopefully it won't take too long. I figure it will be a good multi-table tourny practice.

I think you play the maniac part. Which leads me to a subject of the river card itself and the bad connotations actually making a hand with it. As far as I know it is part of the 5 cards you can choose from. The fact that it's the last one doesn't make it any less or more important. And why give people grief if they hit something on the river. Without river chasers there wouldn't be any gambling. If everybody played like robots it wouldn't be any fun.
