Wow...that tops any disciplined play I've ever heard (easily beats laying down KK to AA pre-flop).

Funny thing is, Kc is being serious.

I would call that every time though...just because of the odds.

The odds against your opponent having four kings are 407 to 1, which means that your aces full win 407 of those 408 times. I think those are good odds.

You don't understand dude, I wasn't even suited, and my spidey senses told me that he had 4 of a kind. I only stayed till the river to try and catch a highest 4 of the kind.

You had to call that. Simple.

This however, is not the reason. You have to understand is that as soon as you have information on his hand based on his betting, you AREN'T up against any random hand.

He is NOT betting with a pair of 5s, or T4o. He MIGHT be betting with a set of kings, or maybe even a lower boat.

Therefore you just have to guess at what he might have, and then guess the likely hood that he has it, and figure out if you have odds from that. I don't thing that jpps1 did that, but he might have. Not sure. It looks like he just figured out the chances of being dealt 2 kings, on this board.

tbh, i'm not entirely sure the post is genuine...I don't think there's anyone alive bad enough to fold aces full here.

AK wouldn't be raising $150 in this spot on the river. Nor would JJ. Had to be KK. Easy laydown.
