Yeah but look, that was nowhere near their best song, merely their catchiest. Have you heard Satellite or No Fun (they were B sides of singles)?

Fuck me, I can remember posters and graffiti going up around London for Anarchy in the UK, and the black bag it came in - revolutionary for the time!

No I don't like where you come from
It's just a satellite of London
And when you look me in the eye
Just remember that I wanna die

Ha ha, looks like you have a few years on me if you can remember Anarchy in the UK being released. I was probably taking my first few steps at exactly the same time you were ripping open that black bag

It's hard to express just how utterly different that band and their sound was to the whole of the rest of the music scene at that time.

For years there had really been only 3 options - Floyd/Zeppelin/Genesis etc, pop/soul etc, or glam. Though they came out of the latter on first hearing the Pistols the common reaction was a jaw-dropping, wide-eyed "WHAT'S THAT?". It was hard to say at first whether you liked it or not because they were so opposed in sound and lyrics to their peers. Others soon followed and a new genre was born.

Where are you from, Cheesy?

ps sorry to the OP for hijacking his thread

Yeah totally sorry for stealing this thread and being completely OT here ( honestly)..

I never said that it was their best song, it just made me smile when I saw it and right away it triggered my mental singing of it.

Actually, when I got home I fired up my collection as it had been a while since I gave it a good "spin"

I am also rather shocked that Nv is into them considering his bashing my love of metal..

Although, I do recall quite a few nights at the radio station where a few good buddies of mine would do a Metal vs. Punk show from time to time because apparently you couldn't like BOTH!

Being to stupid to know this I just ended up rocking the night away listening to some killer tunes....

I'm into specific implementation rather than genre.

I just got it last night and I can definetly say that it is worth the money.

In short, it showed me that my prior winnings had a lot to do with luck and not nearly as much with my style of play, and my recent struggles have been due to bad luck more than anything else. I can see now where I was playing way too manyhands in bad situations.

When you combine it with the advice in this forum and the way tracks player styles for you and overlays them with GameTime+ then if you expect to make any money playing poker you would be a fool not to get it.
