Calling someone an idiot is never "right," but you played the hand more poorly than he did, IMO.

Short answer: Both of you can call the other an idiot.

Basically, you say that they make bad calls, so you might as well. No, tighten up and value bet, don't make unprofitable calls.

Fold preflop.

Poker sites do not set a number of straights that people have to hit. Not hitting a straight in a while does not mean that you have one coming up soon. That isn't how probability works. Each event is random.

In this situation, you will hit a straight once out of every 5 times by the turn. This doesn't mean that you will hit one straight somewhere in ever group of 5 attempts, but rather that if you play a million hands exactly like this, 1/5th of them will result in you hitting the straight. You could miss hundreds of straights in a row, and then hit hundreds in a row. In fact, if you play this exact situation enough times, that should theoretically happen.

Fold.

Bad call. See the pot odds article in the strategy section if you are confused why. Basically, you are getting 1/4 on your money. You need 1/5 (because a straight hits 1/5 times).

Even if this is a bluff, you can't beat it without sucking out, and you don't have odds to try.

Fold.

He played this pretty agressively, but not nearly as poorly as you did, in my oppinion.

I'm trying to be as constructive as possible here. Please don't hate me for telling you the score. Just use it to learn.

for sure no hate, as the top line says, i m new to online-poker and since i "really" dont have any money to burn, i just play freerolls, if i win some cash i try and play low stake holdem, but this auto-calling kills me.

Basically, you say that they make bad calls, so you might as well. No, tighten up and value bet, don't make unprofitable calls.

this will be a post it on my monitor, sounds like a good advice.

thanks on the other infos and another point at pot odds.

will take some time and read there.

You also counted your outs wrong. You can't expect that if the K or 8 appears is a diamond, your hand is likely counterfitted. Again, fold preflop, and definitely don't call the flop bet.
