Default 2 awful plays with amazing payoffs

I don't know what to say about these two hands... The first one I think I played properly and got a nice little bit of luck, the second one... Well it looks pretty bad.

In that hand, I honestly thought I had the lead at the turn. This table was very loose, and too many hands were going to a showdown. Now for the miracle hand:

This hand is very bittersweet. Obviously the payout was amazing, but I played it so horribly wrong that I don't feel I deserved it. The reason I was playing so hard against Snauce is that he was extremely loose and aggressive. He chased me out of many pots where I held a decent hand, and I was trying to stand up to him this time. I put him on a flush draw or an un-paired KA during this one. In both of these hands, the possibility of a set didn't even occur to me.

Tell me what you think.

First hand: Fold pre-flop. Lead the flop. Lead the turn.

Second hand: Why are you raising so much now? Does the strength of your holding always affect the amount you raise? Observant players will pick up on this eventually. Fold to the turn raise.
