Default What a fun session that was.

If luck evens out in the long run, I expect to make some serious fucking money soon.

I can't believe how much I've whined lately, but this has happened to me in 90% of the sessions I've played for an entire month. It has gotten to the point where I don't even like playing anymore. I'll take a break, sit down at a table real calm, and then blow my stack in TWO HANDS.

It doesn't even matter what I do, I am constantly being outdrawn on all of my hands in NL, and I'm not catching shit in Stud. I don't know what the hell I am supposed to do. I feel like the game is just against me, and I'm helpless.

The only upside to this is that I've moved down levels and my losses have been SLIGHTLY lower than they would if I were at my normal level.

<OMGRIGGED>

Coincidentally, this all started when PStars gave me a warning for being abusive in the chat.

</OMGRIGGED>

I decided to cash out my roll. I can't handle this for another month so I'm taking a break.

luck has no "memory" of what happened before, so a bad session can be followed by a good one, just as it can be followed by a worst one.

Quiting for a little while is a very good idea in my opinion, because usually after this kind of bad-luck streak, you're won't have the right mindset to win anymore, even if the cards start being friendly again.

I hate to say this but you played those hands poorly.

In the first example you went in with a river made straight on a paired board. In the second you went in with a small flush.

I see that it was shorthanded but still given the starting hands and the play you should expect to lose quite often there and luck really has no part.

I think the only thing wrong about the first hand was not cold calling the re-raise on the river. Pushing was a mistake.

The second hand I don't disagree with. I'd have been better off folding that junk. Still, it sucks that the dude only had the 9h.

I know you are a good player and this smacks of tilt. I suggest you stick to full longhand tables and play tight ABC poker for awhile. Force yourself to play solid and patient. Good luck.

Thanks dood! I appreciate your kind words. I have definitely been tilting lately. I'm concentrating on GTA for now!
