Default lost my entire bankroll.... in one hand

i dont even want to say how much, its embarrasing... basically, this is what happens. someone raises the BB 4x. the guy that beat me call.

me Q9

other guy 67

flop 899
can you guess what happens?

5
anyway, i didnt think he could have 67 because theres no way im calling 4x the bb with 67. i think im done for awhile, i play people who call anything, and they always beat me with it. id much rather play good people then donks because of this.

hellmuths right, people who call 67 suck

So you have called someones raise of 4xBB with Q9?? If yes, then I do not have any sympathy if not then please post the whole hand history.

Anyway, it sucks but your bankroll couldn't have been that big if you take it all to one table.

But with Q9 it makes sense ...?

Of course they do if you play weak hands like Q9.

i no, i no. this makes me look like a dumbass. BUT, i was correct that the original raiser was stealing. i had a good read on this guy thats what he was doing. also, the BB wasnt too big, Q9 3 handed is ok, not only that it was by far the best hand out there, Q9 wasnt a bad call in this situation, the blinds were not too great, but for 67, it was too much

I disagree. That makes no sense.

I disagree. That makes no sense.
Regarding the Q9 remark or the reading opponents remark? If it is regarding the reading opp remark then I agree. I will edit my post accordingly.

Hi Hustlr,

I just read your post of May 26. I don't want to re-open old wounds but this is a story which kind of proofs my point a bit that taking previous reads on players as gospel can backfire i.e. when a loose and crazy player suddenly has the nuts. And just to re-iterate, yes I do actively make notes on my opponents and try to read their playing behaviouras much as possible, however I usually wait for a good hand to get one back on a maniac and I would have done the same in your situation.

However, said that I really appreciate all your good work & tips on this website, it has helped my SNG game a lot.
