You really might as well give up if losing a 65/35 to a short stack is that big of a deal to you. Ok so..... you lost 12k chips and still have a workable stack. What happened next?

You might also be playing too tight. From the hands I've seen, you have had an M of 10. Tournament poker is about survival, and having enough chips to withstand the inevitable bad beats that you will encounter is part of being a winning player.

You must approach a tournament knowing that you will take some bad beats, so you need to get some chips so one bad beat isnt going to crush you.

If you are playing super tight, then you will more than likely be all in more often than not... and you can only survive so many all ins no matter how bad you dominate your opponent.

Just an example. A tourney I played last week, I went right out and grabbed the chip lead with a nice first hand. From then on, I always had more chips than others at my table. I took 4 huge bad beats in that tourney on the way to the final table. I'm talking AA vs Ax, KK vs KQ, flopped straight beat by running flush, etc. Things that are going to happen. But, I never once had all of my chips in the middle until the last 2 hands at the final table. I was able to rebuild after each of those beats. If I was only playing AA or KK, I would have been out after the first 1 or 2 suckouts.

Of course you wont be able to accumulate chips in every tournament as easily as we would all love to do, but you clearly need to change your outlook on the game.

BAD BEATS ARE COMING, every tournament you play. Prepare for them and be ready.

P.S... 70/30's and 60/40's aren't bad beats. A short stack going all in with 6 BBs and QT vs your AK, isnt a bad beat. That is the game, plain and simple.

Holdem Hi: 1712304 enumerated boards
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
Ac Kh 1100319 64.26 604204 35.29 7781 0.45 0.645
Td Qh 604204 35.29 1100319 64.26 7781 0.45 0.355

So you lost a 65% favourite. BFD. The guy was second short stack and probably was looking for any 2 med to high cards to get all in with. This post is a joke and so are you. I don't care how many people want to be diplomatic and polite to you but IMO you are a whiner and a loser. Let me ask you something. Did you know that the best percentage doesn't always win? This is why the game is called poker and not MATH. If you do want to use math to back up all your arguments then please be aware that the law of averages and statistics do not discriminate against you. Ah, nevermind I feel I'm beating my head against a wall. IT'S CALLED POKER NOT MATH, your a loser and I'm done.

Again, 63%!! And the guy that called you had almost 8 times the amount of chips as your 2nd shortstack. Sketchy call by him maybe but you were a marginal favourite again. Also please refer to Hustlr's comment about having a stack that can withstand some beats (not bad beats, just beats). Oh, and your a whiner.

No I'm not a Whiner....I didn't come here to whine......I came here to state facts about my 3 years of torture !!........I said the other day I have a wife I can lay some whine to !!

Do you use Poker Tracker or the like? If so, can you post your win percent for the top 5 hands you always play (JJ-AA, AKo, AKs)? This will tell you if you should walk outside in a thunder storm or not. If you don't have PT, maybe a tool like this will help your game.

He just keeps posting ridiculous 60/40 situations which convinces me that he hasn't taken anyone's efforts to help him seriously. I'm done, someone else take over. ::tag team hand slap::

He has completely ignored any type of advice I have offered. I asked for some legit hand histories, ones he was confused about or thought maybe he could have played differently. No one cares about HH's showing you all in vs some short stack for a 60/40.

Keep playing the way you do. Keep telling yourself that it's not your fault when you lose. Keep being the victim. Keep focusing on bad beats and suck outs. Keep refusing to change anything about your game. After all, it's people like this that make playing poker worthwhile. Someone has to lose for others to win. If all losing players worked hard to improve their game instead of making excuses, poker would be much more difficult.

Good game, good luck.
