Personally I put the BB on a big hand (two pair or better) and the other player on a flush draw and fold. Even though you are getting pretty good on your money here. Because you may have 3 sixes that are pretty safe outs and you have two eights. So you are a 9-1 underdog if my analogy is right and you are getting about seven to one on your money. You may be able to get two bets in the pot but you must also keep in mind that if you do make your straight or trips that you may have to check call a losing hand. So really marginal decision but I think a fold is the correct play.

You should not even be in this hand in the first place. A clear fold pre flop. Unsuited 87 SB? pretty loose.

However - since you are in the game.

I would

Fold on the flop - you have 2nd pair and a lower kicker whick equals nothing. If you are not going to fold it you MUST raise it!!!

turn - still nothing

One of the reason you fold this hand pre flop is exactly what is happening. What if you hit part of the hand. Then you will chase it and in the long run lose MORE.

IF you have an over card and middle pair - sure play it, BUT THEN you should be raising it on the flop.

Do you have any reads on what these two players will bet and chase? I think the analysis that you are up against two pair and a flush draw is not at all obvious. A straight draw is also possible, and it would not be unusual at 1/2 for some fishy play with overcards (6/9 players saw the flop with no raise - somebody is playing fishy). You may have more outs than 5; you may even be best.

I think this is a good hand for discussion because it happens alot in low limit play. The call preflop is not terrible (11:1 on your money), and the flop is 9:1. I think the call at the flop is justified by outs - but I wouldn't raise here as suggested by Grinder. Three people are already in; you are not winning this with a raise.

How to play now at the turn really depends on the players.

i would fold the Hand hand peflop.
87o isnt a Hand to call with, even in the sb and 4 limpers.
The call on the Flop was not good. You got 3,5 Outs. And 1:9 Pot odds. You must expect at least to get 2 BB more in the Pot on the Turn.Ok the turn decision: you have 3 discountet Outs zu the gutshot,2 outs to trips and 1,5 discountet Outs to the 7.
makes 6,5 outs(1:6) imho.U got Pot odds 1:7 so you must call imo.

Reraise after the flop is a good point.
sometimes you get then a free card at the turn.

when not, FOLD.

BB is 30/0/3.3 and the other guy is 35/0/1 but thats thin.

Thanks for the replys folks. It seems that there are people on both sides of every aspect of this one.

BB was playing 92o and won after I folded what would have been a winning straight. The other guy was indeed on a flush draw.

I don't think that the call in the small blind is that aweful at all. Definitely have the odds to call.

After the flop I would raise to see where I am at, if I get all callers it would be a check call situation.

On the turn I am calling the bet since I now have 3 sizes added to my outs that don't complete the flush.

Unless there is crazy rasing on the river I am probably calling.
