Default Omaha Hi- hutchinson points system...

I was wondering if anyone knew how to use the hutchinson system to evaluate omaha hi hands? For sure I know its got some serious drawbacks but I do find it useful to keep myself playing too loose. Only thing is when it comes to calcuating hands with Aces and wheel cards I am not too sure how to calculate the value of the straights.

e.g. What is the value of a Hand like As4c3d6h?

That hand is total crap at PLO and kinda-ok-to-limp-IP at PLO8, I think.

Im not a very experienced PLO8 player so perhpas Im speaking trough my ass again.

Your A436 sucks because theres very few nuts str8 possible and no suited aces. Something like Ah7h8c9c would be A LOT better.

good str8 cards are between 6-7 to J-Q since they can make a lot of str8.

I dont use any system points because I like to play loose

JUst ask yourself ' How much nuts can I make with that hand '? If the answer is a lot, raise IP, if its quite a few, call

Ok, pretty bad and vague advices

Yup the hand is not worth much, but I didnt construct the hand to be playable but to help calculate the value of straights and in thus I made sure it wasnt suited etc. to simplify the calcuation.

So does anyone know what its value is?

You dont need this system. Just play a bit at low limits tables nut peddling till you get a feel for the game

i d calc it like this (not sure if i got the gap-thingy right)

A 3 4 (234 3 gap?) are 3 cards 18 points.
a Used A + Wheel cards +12

thats 38 points for a complete low hand ? or 8 points if the 3 gap means you can only have A 2 3 5 to get thos low wheel points ? (234 the gap from A-5 ...)

I believe its only 28 points

A 3 4 is worth 12 points
(3 cards within 3 of one another = +18

3 4 6 is worth 16 points
