Wieso wars das ? die online rooms zahlen jetzt einfach das Preisgeld direkt an den jenigen aus und der kann sich dann selber anmelden.

naja, die frage ist ob es so bleiben wird ... hängt ganz vom druck des staates ab denke ich.

Ich denke so einfach wird es nicht laufen. Wenn die Amis gar nicht mehr Online spielen dürfen, wie sollen sie sich dann überhaupt irgendwie qualifizieren?
Alleine das wird das Teilnehmerfeld gegenüber dem diesjährigen Rekrod ganz massiv senken, da bin ich mir sicher.

Und was soll da passieren? Online-Poker ist schon beschnitten (mehr wirds nicht werden die nächste Zeit) und verbieten WENN die Leute online spielen sich mit Geld vom Pokerräumen ins WSOP einzukaufen geht ja wohl nicht, oder?

Jup -- Habe ich auch gedacht.

Entweder wollen sie damit ihre eigenen Satellites propagieren und sind gegen das böse, böse Onlinepokern -- oder da sitzt einer, der sich noch nicht mit dem Buchhalter unterhalten hat und noch nicht weiss, was 5000-6000 weniger Spieler bewirken.

Weil... eine gesetzliche Vorschrift dazu gibt es ja wohl noch nicht, oder?

Auch wenn es nicht expizit im Gesetz steht finde ich es für ein reguläres und legales Casino durchaus nachvollziehbar, dass sie nicht unbedingt als Geschäftspartner illegaler Online-Casinos ins Gerede kommen wollen.
Wenn sich weiterhin z.B. bei Pokerstars Amis ganz offiziell online für die WSOP qualifizieren könnten wäre der Ärger mit den Verfechtern des Onlinegamling-Bans doch wohl vorhersehbar. Dass sich theoretisch auch Leute die in anderen Ländern ganz legal online pokern qualifizieren können wird in den USA wohl nicht groß interessieren und dürfte wohl auch zahlenmäßig wirklich eher unbedeutend sein.
