POKERCHUMP has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Default sumthin funny from a noob..

ok, i have a casino by where i live, i have $$ to blow, and played texas hold em at my job during lunch. so i think, let me try my luck at the casino. BUT!! before i do, i go to google and look for tips. this place had what i thought to be the best tipe on the net thus far. i read and studied the stratigies and types of players.

after a week i go in. play, and break even.

then the next 2 days i loose, but all i played was the minimum buy in.

then one day i come in, and for 30.00 i leave with 600.00

it was a good night. I used the tips on pokertips.org and 2 not mentioned. 1) i only made the minimum buy in. 2) i limited myself to 2 hours of play.

this was great, but the win over wealmed me, because the next 2 weeks, i lost it all.

not one winning hand the entire time.

then i started winning a hand here and there, but here is the real funny part.

last week i brought a 1000.00 bank roll in, and played the 3/6 table, and lost 500.00 in 4 hours. i thought i would cut my losses, and leave, and i got up. i was half way to the door, and figured, i came in to looos this 1000.00 let me just play it. so i went back to my same seat. at the same table, bought in 2 racks of chips, and toled everyone im now going to give my money away, but you have to earn the win.

from that point till 4 am that morning, i cleaned out the table. i only lost 1 hand, and here is the funniest part. I ordered alcohol and got drunk.

my bankroll at the end of the night was about 8000.00

DONT try this at home folks. i simply chose the loos aggressive approach, but the cards turned to my favor that night.

and i got really lucky, and alot of others left pissed.

i finally quit when i lost 4 hands. and relized it was pretty hard to pay attention to the table.

just my thoughts on this i will go back on monday.

So, you turned 500 into 8000 at 3/6 in (let's give you the benefit of the doubt and say) 12 hours.

That's a little over 100 BB/hour.

I'm gonna call bullshit on this story. Nice try though.

You are perfect example of why poker is such a great game. Congrats.

Where exactly are you going to be Monday?

I do not either at a casino especially if he is running lucky. Those numbers make sense actually. If he is telling the truth I know people who have gone into a casino with $40 to a 1/2NL table and leave with well over a $1000 in about 4-5 hours. Not to say they win this much everytime, they are honestly losing players. But they have one good run every year or so where they win way more than I ever would at the same session with the same cards, because I would not put my money at risk in as many of those spots as they did.

Cruise boat poker...2-5NL with 200 min buy in. This one guy bought in short and was down to $35 with an hour left...(they do 4-5 hour trips). Ended up with about $3000 including the last hand when about 5 people went all in and he hit a str8 on the river. Amazing. The action on the last hands of these trips is the most manic I have ever seen.

I lost $500.

1. In Ishbu's example his friend went on a 500 BB run in 1/2 NL and in jimmy's it was a 600 BB run at 2/5. These are remarkable but this is not the same as the OP's claim of a 1200 BB run in a session.

2. I haven't seen a casino spread 3/6 NL (1/2, 2/5, 5/10 but 3/6 is usually a FL game). Granted I have only played in a handful of casinos but that includes both coasts the midwest and Nevada. I am assuming the OP is referring the FL.

Can our one-post-wonder tell us where he played the 3/6 NL?

THAT is a hell of a downstreak, or was that an exaggeration? Not a single winning hand in 2 weeks? Unless you only played a few hours those two weeks, i'm calling shens.

I guess I believe it. Since he was playing with the attitude "I came here to spend $1000" I'm sure he was playing extremely LAG. When you play like that and hit cards, you're in for a big pay day.

I'd call bullshit with a high level of certainty.

Furthermore, I'd be surprised if the person was out of gradeschool.
