The smooth call preflop, and the smooth call on the flop scare the living crap out of me if I have QQ here. I dont know what type of read you had on him, but Im really thinking the call on the flop with an Ace is an alarm going off in my head, that somethings not right.

In all fairness this could mean a lot of things at 2/4 and is very "players" dependent i.e. both the opponent and the hero.

And yea that sucks man, there is nothing worse than getting shat on all day then you finally think you have stacked someone only to find out that Lee Jones wants you to kill yourself.

That's what sucks in cash game. You work hard all day to build up a decent bankroll and then you bust it all in one hand. (allthough i don't say that in this specific example the all in was correct after the ace shows on the flop).

To the poster who says it scares him, yes, it scared me too until the river.

Considering there are only two hands in the deck that beat me (AA and 77), I either have to put my opponent on quads or flopped top set slowplayed that far.

It isn't sensible to fold here. And I would have to be really weak not to push on the river here because I had no read on this person (this was still the first orbit).

I can only get away from losing my stack here if it's something like 200bb, but I'm still dumping a buy-in here unless it's someone who would only do this with AA or quads, and I don't think they exist at 2/4.

Flat calling in 2/4 preflop is sometimes a slowplay, but more likely, a small pair or speculative hand. So I guess I could have put the player on AA or 77, but I actually thought A7s for sure. I was shocked when the pot didn't move the right direction at showdown.

Oh well, nothing I can do about this one. Just wallowing in my misfortune. I had a bunch of other sick losses, then I donked out on someone else to get at little of it back.

You actually weren't ahead by THAT much on the turn, should be around 2/3 to 1/3, no? But, it still sucks, I'll readily admit that...
