Default CDpoker

Anyone play there? I've done a search but only found a couple of really old threads.

I just received an unsolicited email from CDpoker (a site I've never been to) saying that "I've been selected from a large group of people to receive a $20 free sign up bonus" at CDpoker. It basically says sign up and get $20 with no deposit required.

Anyone had any issues with CDpoker? What's the play there like?

Thanks

Balf

I have gotten the same E-Mail a number of times. Never looked into it for a lot of reasons.

They are a part of the ipoker network if I remember correctly and they will give you the money as they state. I decided to sign up and turned the $30 into around $390 in the matter of two days playing SH NL tables. I also then blew the whole thing in one hand to a suck out

The majority of the players I played against were quit aweful to be honest.

I would however point out that when I installed their softare my virus checker let me know it was installing some sort of crap along with it....

Software isn't anything to write home about but seemed stable enough.

OH PS.

Once you do sign up and don't deposit they will CONSTANTLY fill your inbox with offers. It became a little annoying...

Check out the review of Titan Poker on this site: http://www.pokertips.org/reviews/titan.php

They are on the same network.

I have played a couple of hours on it and have the same experience as ggnh with annoying e-mails when I stopped playing.

I got a bonus immediately when I deposited, but I didn´t clear it, so when I wanted to withdraw I couldn´t withdraw the bonus-money ($10). Since then, CDPoker has been reminding me weekly that I have $10 waiting there. It was annoying, but I just ignored them. Also I have been notified that I had free entries into micro-overlaid tournaments.

Then a few days ago I got some vague e-mail about having won an entry to a casino-game tournament that I spent 30 minutes looking into without getting much wiser. That straw broke the camel´s back, so I unsubscribed from their mailing list.

Anyone know how easy/hard their bonus is to clear? They are currently offering 100% up to $500

Sounds tempting as i have to clean out my US bank account soon as i am moving back to Australia in just over two weeks. It would cost me $30 just to wire the money, i might as well get some poker out of it

FORGET IT!!!!

Unless my calculations are way off, you have to pay $150 in rake to get a $5 bonus? Isn't that insane? Surely i made a mistake? But i can't see where... I don't know what those green circles mean. I assumed 1 CDpoint per .25c paid in rake. But that MUST be wrong.

Someone clarify?

For tournaments you get 15 points per $1 you pay in fees. 600 points earns you $5. Thus when you have payed 600/15=$40 in fees you get $5, which means you earn 5/40=$0,125 per dollar you pay in fees.

For cash-games it is more complicated. The chart you linked us to shows how many points you get per raked hand depending on how big the rake is. You get more points the bigger the rake in a hand is. As long as you were dealt a hand which eventually ended up with a rake of $0,25 or greater, it counts, even if you folded preflop.

There are better CDPoker-bonuses than this one, though. Bonuswhores.com gives you 200% up to $600, and the bonus is cleared over twice as fast.
