Default Does this happen to everyone??

I've never posted on this site and just came across it today. How many times have you been playing a sng or a MTT and been kind of short stacked. Then you make a play like the one I made on this hand...this kind of thing seems to happen to me more often than it should. Could I be the donkey? I don't think so. Money is top 3 and this put me out in 4th.

PokerStars Game #9026475397: Tournament #45887118, $15+$1 Hold'em No Limit - Level VII (100/200) - 2007/03/22 - 01:29:54 (ET)

Seat 6: SCruz Slug (small blind) showed [Ah Qs] and won (3850) with a pair of Aces
Seat 7: Kevin_2384 (big blind) folded before Flop

Come on man how many times can someone make a bluff at me with a pretty crappy chance of hitting their draw and then when I put them to the test they call me down KNOWING they have to be behind but hit anyway. It just amazes me how willing people are to call a bet when they know there is NO FREAKING chance in hell that they are better than a coin flip and most likely completely dominated.

If I shove preflop he calls anyway. After the flop missed him he should have checked and folded to my all in but like a donkey he committed himself to the pot and "had to call".

I never said it was a horrible beat pretty disgusting given the situation. It seems that if i am short stacked and the blinds are starting to get high I put myself into a great position to double up and consistently get hammered with unlucky turns and rivers.

This game would be pretty boring if we all just check/folded every time we missed the flop.

The AQ guy doesn't do much wrong IMO. Depending on how you've been playing, there's a good chance you also missed that glop and he's ahead (to AJ, AT). And even if it is the worst play ever, you should be glad people make calls like that.

Wow I have never seen such a bad beat. AND ON THE BUBBLE !!!!!

Thats crazy man you are SO UNLUCKY crazy bad beat, nobody ever hit a higher pair than mine on the turn.

And you are so right he so should have folded his AQ on the flop, folding and keeping 2.5 BB is MUCH better than putting 600 in a 3000$ pot with about 20% to win.

Out of irony, if one thing is true its that his bet on the flop is stupid if he was not willing to fold to your all in. He should have put you all in at first.

So you make your 4xBB raise with 99 and get called, leaving yourself 5 big blinds, what is your plan if the flop contains an Ace, a King, a Queen, a Jack, or a Ten and he bets?

Unless this hang over from last night is worse than I think...

#1. You have an M less than 5.
#2. Its all or nothing and with a 99 you should be happily push all in.
#3. The flop doesn't look to scary to me and I actually like the play from the guy with AQ. He's figuring it probably missed you too, and by him betting he is taking away that play from you. Although if he was going to call your allin I would have prefered to see him push allin before you.
#4. So you lost a coin flip....... sometimes the coin will feel like it is two headed and you keep calling tails.....
#5. He has two overs plus a backdoor nut flush draw and a backdoor str8

#6. We can get TWLLM in here to share bad beat stories that will make you wet your pants, hide under your bed, and start chanting "I'll will never play poker again" over and over while you lay in the fetal position with a soulless look in your eyes.

PS. Welcome to the forums and hope you stick around, we are actually a friendly bunch but just happen to have issues with bad beat stories that are that bad

Cheers <-----see a smiley.. see how friendly we are <--oh another one
