Depending on how many hands it may be a standard breakeven stretch.

Cool, I guess this is just one of those things that happens, no?

I'm not sure the exact number of hands. Most days I probably play around 200 hands when I single table. I did some two tabling in July and that is when I ran the worst.

I still haven't bought poker tracker. I downloaded the trial offer and I got 1,000 hands in. The problem with it is it just confuses me. Surely I'm not the only one that has this problem? The software isn't the most user-friendly out there.

Any specific things you can't figure out? I like to think I know my way around the program pretty well...

Oh, and yes, this is just one of those things that happens, and that you've gotta see through. I had a hard time motivating myself around hand 14k, as you can probably imagine. I know some people get in that many hands in two days, but I don't, so it felt like a loooooong bad streak. I guess taking a break (and running better, obv) sorted me out.

I'd like to be able to use the program to find any leaks I have. What's the best way to do that?

Are there any stats I should be checking? How do you use PT after an unfavorable stretch?

Well, that's a pretty broad query. I'm afraid PT doesn't come with a "Show leaks"-button. One thing you can do is have it list your biggest losses, and go over those hands, of course taking into accounts your opponents and the information you have on them. Did you play them well, could you have avoided losing that much $, etc. Something more general would be for example checking your position stats, and verifying whether you're tightening up the farther you are from the button.

1k hands is not enough to look at specific starting hands IMO - hell, I'm down with 99 over like 30k hands - but there's certainly some statistics that can be evaluated after a small sample.
