i gets the hand...

My guess is that he thought you were FOS because of your flop check. Maybe the guy was just a donk who wouldn't let go of a pair, maybe he made a great read and a nice call. Anyway, not every bluff can work, I guess... GL, things'll turn around eventually. They always do.

im an idiot..

i fucking outsmarted myself again on this one..

he read my flop check as weakness and my turn weakish bet as missed overs, my river push as a desperation bluff...

what i was trying to do is act like i have aces and im trying to play the hand.

on a 886 rainbow board im not really getting value and i dont have to protect since there's no flush draw and im not particularry worried about 79/57. so i gave him a free card hopefull he'll catch a J or something on the turn or try to bluff at it.

on the turn after it blanks and he checks im betting weak since i really gotta start somewhere building a pot for my aces...

and on the river im crying "please gimme value im a moron" and i pot it (overbet is basically a psb there) like i would with a nut hand to act like im bluffing..

guess what..he believed the main story i was trying to sell..

FOR THE BILLIONTH TIME DOZA, WHEN BLUFFING ACT LIKE IDIOTS VALUE BET, NOT LIKE YOU DO!!!!1111111ONE!

2nd level talking. I like it.

When I read the hand history, I didn't think it represented AA (or many strong hands) outside of PF and maybe river, either (though he still made a tough call), and wasn't sure what upset you outside of the loss and the fact that he wasn't as weak as you would have liked. I'm not at your level, but you seem to have come to the conclusion that you got a little too fancy, which now that you said aces, I agree with. (Prior to aces, the hand just looked very weird to me and I didn't know what you were representing.)

ok this is officially yet another 10 buy-in downswing..

villain is a 20/11 reg but i had been running the table over playing 30/25 for 130 hands or so and i thought that my queens might be good...

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1417090 but they get cracked by aces

10 fucking hands later...

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1417093 he cracks my friggin aces....

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1417095 oh yeah 13% to win aint small enough... (yeah yeah shorty but wtf i cant win a hand lately..)

im going to have to move down to 25nl

Sucks, dude. Moving down sounds like a good idea. I hope losing $500 isn't too much of your bankroll!

thing is, when bluffing against someone who can read a hand, your line must make sense.
betting a lot of money isnt gonna be enough to work on itself

4betting light at 25NL would also be very, very bad in my opinion since almost nobody 3bets light.

What does that term mean, 'three bet light'?

Thanks.
