I dont know if the experts would agree, I am certainly not, but I wouldnt say you suck, just got a bad beat. I cant count the number of times I have been out drawn on the river.

Well there's nothing quite like checking the nuts until they aren't the nuts anymore lol.

I got greedy on that hand. Slap on the wrist.

I think my thoughts during the hand were 'Hey! I flopped the nuts..... Okay he bet, hopefully he'll bet on the turn..... Hey he's just hitting the bet pot button. That means when he bets on the river he'll practically be commiting himself!... Oh great the board paired, but he bet pot again like I figured...... Ehhhh he probably doesn't have a set, I mean... What are the chances he has a full house here?....... HAYHAYCAYCHACHACHACHAHCAHCHAHCHACA"

Flop call is ok, since you have left the possibility that another villian would stay in the pot.

But at the Turn I would check/raise to get value from 2 Pair. If someone is betting the flop without anything and try it at the turn again, he would fold but also almost never bet the river again.

So raise turn. Your hand is good, at this point the best, and you will get as many money as possible in there.

Really nothing you could do here...just a bad beat IMO. I doubt he gets away from the 2 pair on the turn even if you shove. And of course, you don't want him getting away from 2 pair anyway...Tough beat...

I think you should raise the turn (as he obv likes his hand). On the river its kinda close between a call and a raise. I mean people dont pot the river there without 2pr+. AK is kinda unlikely, A2 got counterfeited.. I have a hrad time seeing him call a river raise wtih worse. Once he 3bets the river its close again. you call $12 into $70 which is basically a crying call.

Just browsing, when this story opened up the painful sore that was last night.

I too flopped the nuts and thought I would make some money - the guy who slow played the Aces must have thought so too!!! I could not believe the showdown. When will I ever learn.

Have a good laugh:
