Default I feel sick from this beat

Worst bad beat ever ?

i was Large blind with Q/9 OS ,small blind called with 8/3 OS.

Flop:

J
10
8

so this gave me the straight on the flop. i raised it up to £5 small blind re-raised to £11 so i went all in with my £15 remaining.

Turn:

8

gave him 3 of a kind but i was still winning with my straight

river:

3

gave him the full house

feel like never playing poker again

Nope ... try a Royal Flush suckout over quad aces ... my first ever Royal a few years ago. And you prolly came to the wrong place for sympathy as most the regulars here can match any beat beat known to mankind

And BTW, welcome to the forum

Why would you go all in though with a pair of eights with 2 overcards on the table . this is what annoys me. people that play bad and get away with it

That's where the money comes from. A player this loose, you'll get him eventually.

Depending on when the money went in, that's pretty horrible.

So I checked the HH ... it was a horrible play and in clubs not spades. He flopped the quad Aces from the SB and I had QTo on the button.
