Default Self-fulfilling prophecy?

I'm a little creeped out right now. I was running really bad in omaha and I joked in IRC to moli that I had flopped quads, and I was either going to win the blinds (the pot wasn't raised preflop) or I was going to lose to like a straight flush or quads.

Full Tilt Poker Game #4699474611: Table University (6 max) - $1/$2 - Pot Limit Omaha Hi - 14:02:10 ET - 2008/01/01

Mrreadchips shows [Qc Jh 9h 9s] four of a kind, Nines
CowboyLizzi wins the pot ($77) with four of a kind, Aces
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot $80 | Rake $3
Board: [9c 9d Ac Ad 4s]
Seat 1: dacove71 didn't bet (folded)
Seat 2: hack and slash didn't bet (folded)
Seat 3: iTouchiHump folded on the River
Seat 4: Mrreadchips (button) showed [Qc Jh 9h 9s] and lost with four of a kind, Nines
Seat 5: CowboyLizzi (small blind) showed [Qs As Ah 2d] and won ($77) with four of a kind, Aces
Seat 6: Xerxses (big blind) folded on the River

And then I lost... to a one outer which made quads.

I know I run bad, but... comon... wtf? Is this a self-fulfilling prophecy? Do I really run bad just because I know how bad I run?

Because you are constantly focusing on running bad then every time something crappy happens you focus on it too much and forget about the good things. Plus even when good things do happen you will just think "about time I got on the right end of a set over set, now for the next 24".

Seriously though dude you should really make an effort to play with a positive state of mind and have some belief that you will win. It's vital that you actually have some confidence in your results otherwise you will be creating leaks elsewhere.

Default Straight flush meets full house - the TWLLM story

Man I couldn't make this shit up if I tried. Here he had the flush, but i had to take a stab at the pot - and then the ONLY river card in the deck where I have to pay off and I still lose, hits.

Gotta love it.
