i am a draw noob myseld, but why not just fold predraw?

yeah, it is only 150 to draw, but you do not have a deuce, are prolly up against two better draws and you are oop anyway. even if you draw good like you did, it will be a pita to play your hand, ldo.

I treated it like NL pot odds and thus played it.

Should I be letting this go for the 150 - even though the pot odds are decent?

sure the odds to call are good predraw. but i think you'll have strong reversed implied odds on the later streets. let'S recap: you are oop, playing at the very best against at least one better draw and with you start with a rough hand that can't be played with any real confidence.

but as i said, i am a triple draw noob myself. i think you should post the hand on the "other poker forum" at 2+2. these people are better at this game than i will ever be.

When the other pat player goes crazy raising... with reraises.... you aren't looking good.

Muck it predraw?

I dunno it's one of my weakest games. Ask someone who has played triple draw somewhere other than a dealer's choice home game.

Drawing 3 cards OOP against 2 opponents is the the fastest way to loose money in this game.

After the second draw you have the chance to save 300 bucks and after the third draw it was certain you will not win here with 8 high. So just fold to the 300 bet and the check raise to 600 bucks.

So basically - Pot odds in 2-7 < NLH.

Makes sense now that I think about it.

If I had this exact hand in the BB and UTG raised (min) then everyone called - should I still just let it go, or make a call here and then muck it on 2nd draw if i dont get real lucky? (Hope that makes sense)!

do you call a minraise with 8 2offsuit in the bb in holdem? Its sort of the same idea, you probably could find the odds to do it but you are going to get yourself in a whole bunch of nasty spots on the flop
