Default What an ending!

This does NOT make up for flopping quads and losing, but it was thrilling just the same, especially after a terribly bad grinding weekend, coming out on the short end.

I didn't think this was going to be the final hand, given what I had, and the board. Then the river came, and I realized he caught something. I figured he'd caught a flush, but he could have had a big pair or a straight from jump.

Suffice it to say neither of us had each other on the hands we had. Great stuff.

It always impress me how the easiest hands to play can still be misplayed so horribly.

OK, fine. I do want (and merit) an education.

That board was full of rags, though it was coordinated. Now, HU most folks play ATC.

In these SNG's I generally play really tightly till the table shortens, and even then I don't bet like a maniac. The cool thing is I can steal blinds (very handy when they get large) because my bets till that point had always meant something.

The downside is, if I come out firing, my opponent who was extremely aggressive, isn't stupid. He'd fold unless he too had a monster. I had no way of knowing that.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel flopping two pair is a monster hand HU, especially because when I'm in a hand I usually have high cards. You wouldn't look at a board like that and figure me for two pair.

I very rarely slowplay. Not that I'd be against getting more money in the pot, but on a ragged board like that (extremely unlikely to hit both willing participants) I figure if I bet a bunch, he leaves, and if I bet a tiny amount, he gets suspicious.

Also, HU, while he didn't likely have a str8, if one more coordinating card came, especially a 5, it would be very scary.

This is my reasoning, but if I'm off base, please tell me. I posted another story a few weeks back and a guy here told me he didn't like my betting line, so the next time it came up, I did it his way and it worked great.

very off base

and whats up with the action? In my poker world, SB speaks first, then BB. Im confused
Also I didnt even notice the PF call... Im not a tourney player, but the last time I open limp my SB was in 1972 and it was a misclick.

2nd: Dont level yourself. Dont even think about table image in a 3$ sng seriously...

I'm amazed how fish think about poker hands.

So weird how everyone always thinks they are right.

Harsh man. I was just giving my opinion on the hand. No need to be rude
