Default 3Bet

What does this term actually mean, what is involved when the term 3bet is used?

A 3 bet just means the third bet on a given street. That means third raise in the bet really, so not a call. When people talk about 3-bet range, or 3-betting light, they usually talk about preflop, but the term applies elsewhere.

An example: Someone calls the blinds, you raise it up, then someone raises it again. The last person is considered to have 3 bet you, the blinds being one, then your bet, then theirs.
