Default My personnal challenge

I just recently finished my own challenge on FTP.

On March 22 I deposited $55 and challenged myself to play only $5.5 sngs until I had 30 times the next buy-in level.

May 19th: 56 $5.5 sngs. some two table, but mostly single tables.

ITM 48.21% ROI 73.3% 15 firsts, 8seconds and 4 thirds.

Overall I played in 72 tournaments in that time and my ROI was 41.67%

Didnt do so well in the multitable tourneys. only one cash.

Banlroll went from $55 to $313 in that time. (not all profits were from the $5 tournaments.

Now I will try the same challenge on pokerstars.
Started today...deposited $55

Off to a good start 3 tournaments, one first and one second, bankroll now at $88.

I really hope this challenge goes as well as the last one. But only time will tell.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post.

Well I'm now 9 tournaments into my challenge and I have seen a few slight but important differences between FTP and Stars.

1. I cant seem to steal blinds on a regular basis.
2. Players at this limit seem to chase their draws an awful lot.
3. Seems to be very difficult to outplay these people (you need
to outdraw them).

So that being said I have tried to make some adjustments to my game. I am still playing tight aggressive, only a little more aggressive pre-flop trying to make them pay more for their calls which they still pay off. Post flop I have tried over betting the flop when I get the flop that I want (they still pay off most of the time. The only problem I seem to be having is that they keep hitting their miracle cards on me.

So far in 9 tournaments I've one won one and cashed in two. I am becoming increasingly frustrated in the fact that my premium hands keep getting drawn out on.

To put it into a little perspective today in 6 tournaments I have had the following:

AA three times won two of them (only went to the river once).
AKs once lost on the river.
AKo lost (folded before the river).
AQs once-went to the river and lost.
AQo four times-went to the river four times: won four times. (amazing).

Alright, managed to talk myself off of tilt while writing this and rebounded to win my next tournament. That feels better, although I still saw way too many times that the river decided the outcome of a hand for my liking.
